The VOICE action has created a training toolkit to engage and train young adult offenders in European projects and European values.
It focuses on merging non-formal education guidelines and training methodologies that encourage young people from vulnerable groups to participate in the democratic process and in society, and adapting these practices to young people deprived of their liberty.
A short, practical and innovative training, tailor-made for this specific group, translating the issues and language of the system and policies into the reality, the language and the lived world of young people deprived of their liberty.
The main objective of the Voice Training Toolbox is to increase the knowledge of these young people about the European project and, with this, to encourage and empower their participation in the design of European youth policies.
The final step is the piloting of this training in each partner country with around 12 young people deprived of liberty and 4 young people from disadvantaged areas per country, a total of 112 participants in total will participate. After these pilots, reports will be generated at national and European level, which will compile all the experiences and allow the final version to be created with the appropriate modifications.
Next partner meeting in Catania!

Our next project meeting in Catania is confirmed for 16-17 June 2022. Our hosts will be "A Rocca", who will surely make us enjoy the beautiful island of Sicily. We will meet to finalise the last details of the training module, exchange best practices, discuss the next steps of the consortium, plan dissemination activities and evaluate the progress of the project. As well as enjoying a good Pizza Catanese for sure.
