Dependence

The main objective of Fundación Diagrama’s intervention in this area, regulated by Law 39/2006, of 14th December, on the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for People in a Situation of Dependency (LAPAD in Spanish), is to offer the personal, family and social attention that people in a situation of dependency need through the provision of healthcare services, collaborating constantly with the relevant public authorities responsible for developing the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependence (SAAD in Spanish).

Thus, by managing and developing initiatives, programmes and resources aimed at people who find themselves in a situation of dependence due to age, illness or physical or psychological disability, Diagrama provides the appropriate personal, familial and social care they require, helping their active incorporation into the community and the development of their personal autonomy.
